Luce Bar and Kitchen Located in San Diego

Bay Park and industrial chic aren't often spoken of in the same breath. But as the neighborhood's resident gastropub, Luce Bar and Kitchen has been luring locals to its polished wood and metal warehouse space for more than five years, thanks in large part to a menu of thoughtful, elevated pub fare, ranging from gourmet pizzas and salads to hot sandwiches.

Delicious Burger Patty With Brisket and Chuck Steak

Naturally, no sandwich is hotter than the made-from-scratch Luce Burger. Its patty is a blend of brisket and chuck steak that's ground in-house each day — and not too lean, so it doesn't lose that brilliantly tantalizing flavor of rendered brisket fat. It's then seasoned with a secret blend of savory spices while it's being grilled a perfect medium, or to whatever temperature is your idea of perfection.

Signature Burger, Served Daily on a Bread & Cie Brioche Bun

At the latest Reader Burgers & Beer festival, executive chef Kat Johnson worked the Luce spice blend into Jentzen's ground beef, and dressed it with melted cheddar, caramelized onions, and bacon both cured and smoked in-house. Stop by Bay Park for lunch or dinner at Luce (pronounced loo-chay), and you'll find the option to add that bacon to a signature burger, served daily on a Bread & Cie brioche bun, with aged white cheddar and roasted garlic aioli.
